Watch Out, It's Nolan, Dark Joseph Ravine, 2022
Nolan is your average young boy who really does not want to go to school. His parents think that he is lazy; the school principal thinks that he is simply being disruptive. The real reason is that Nolan is being bullied at school.
His parents tell Nolan to simply ignore the bullies. The school administration is equally not helpful. On this day, Nolan acquires an invisible green leprechaun helper named Bolton. His mission is to get people to believe Nolan. The kitchen clock suddenly falls off the wall, and smashes into many pieces. At school, while Nolan is being lectured to by the Vice Principal, pieces of ceiling plaster hit him (the Vice Principal) in the head.
Other such things happen, and the adults begin to believe that Nolan is some sort of powerful wizard; staying on his good side is a good idea. Nolan tells them, again, about the bullying. Many elementary schools say that they have an anti-bullying policy. Does Nolan's school just say it, or do they actually do something about it?
Very few bullied children get a helper like Bolton. Maybe adults should believe children a little more when they say they are being bullied. This story is highly recommended for all children, whether or not they have experienced bullying.
