Welcome!

Welcome!! My name is Paul Lappen. I am in my early 60s, single, and live in Connecticut USA. This blog will consist of book reviews, written by me, on a wide variety of subjects. I specialize, as much as possible, in small press and self-published books, to give them whatever tiny bit of publicity help that I can. Other than that, I am willing to review nearly any genre, except poetry, romance, elementary-school children's books and (really bloody) horror.

I have another 800 reviews at my archive blog: http://www.deadtreesreviewarchive.blogspot.com (please visit).

I post my reviews to:

booklore.co.uk
midwestbookreview.com
Amazon and B&N (of course)
Librarything.com
Goodreads.com
Books-a-million.com
Reviewcentre.com
Pinterest.com
and on Twitter

I am always looking for more places to post my reviews.

The Only Garden Planner You Need

The Only Garden Planner You Need, Maky Publishing, 2022

Are you a passionate gardener who already has every square inch of your garden planned for 2023? Are you just waiting for the weather to get warm enough to start planting? Do you need a single place to keep all the information about this year's garden? This book may be able to help.

It contains pages for tracking of purchases, a shopping list, monthly planners and grids for seed layouts. There are many pages for plant profiles. They include places for plant names, the date and place of purchase, the date it was planted and its classification (shrub, herb, fruit, etc.). There are also places to keep track of how often a plant is watered, and a harvest tracker.

If there is such a thing as "one-stop shopping" in garden planner books, this is it. It has plenty of space for anything that a gardener wants to record. This book is highly recommended for all gardeners.
