Welcome!! My name is Paul Lappen. I am in my early 60s, single, and live in Connecticut USA. This blog will consist of book reviews, written by me, on a wide variety of subjects. I specialize, as much as possible, in small press and self-published books, to give them whatever tiny bit of publicity help that I can. Other than that, I am willing to review nearly any genre, except poetry, romance, elementary-school children's books and (really bloody) horror.

The Mediterranean Diet concentrates on the lean proteins, grains and fresh vegetables that are grown in that part of the world (southern Europe). An occasional glass of red wine also helps.

This book emphasizes the ease of preparation of each dish. All it requires is 30 minutes per day (meal prep ahead of time is a good idea). There is a 30-day meal plan along with a total of 2000 different meal ideas, so boredom will not be a problem. There are many different recipes included, for salads, seafood, proteins, desserts and pasta. 

The Mediterranean Diet is also very healthy. It has been shown to promote heart health and brain health, and has been linked to a reduced risk of chronic disease (like cancer). It is also a good idea to increase your physical activity, and increase your interaction with other people.

Here is a very good choice for anyone who simply wants to eat healthier, or is serious about improving their health.
