Welcome!

Welcome!! My name is Paul Lappen. I am in my early 60s, single, and live in Connecticut USA. This blog will consist of book reviews, written by me, on a wide variety of subjects. I specialize, as much as possible, in small press and self-published books, to give them whatever tiny bit of publicity help that I can. Other than that, I am willing to review nearly any genre, except poetry, romance, elementary-school children's books and (really bloody) horror.

I have another 800 reviews at my archive blog: http://www.deadtreesreviewarchive.blogspot.com (please visit).

I post my reviews to:

booklore.co.uk
midwestbookreview.com
Amazon and B&N (of course)
Librarything.com
Goodreads.com
Books-a-million.com
Reviewcentre.com
Pinterest.com
and on Twitter

I am always looking for more places to post my reviews.

Winners' Guide to GMAT Reading Comprehension

Winners' Guide to GMAT Reading Comprehension, Jay John, ISBN 979-8-356-434136

This book is intended to help with understanding the reading portion of the Graduate Management Admission Test, an important part of any graduate business education.

This book shows many ways to improve your reading speed and comprehension in the exam. Such techniques are also valuable as you start your journey up the corporate ladder, and in your daily life. It also analyzes many different types of GMAT questions, so that you can practice your newly-found skills.

Many books offer ways to increase your reading speed. This book is different. It is very much recommended for those considering the GMAT exam. It is equally recommended for those in high school, to show just how important reading really is. Those who are simply passionate readers will also greatly benefit by this book.
