Welcome!! My name is Paul Lappen. I am in my early 60s, single, and live in Connecticut USA. This blog will consist of book reviews, written by me, on a wide variety of subjects. I specialize, as much as possible, in small press and self-published books, to give them whatever tiny bit of publicity help that I can. Other than that, I am willing to review nearly any genre, except poetry, romance, elementary-school children's books and (really bloody) horror.

What is the Keto Diet all about? This book provides an answer. 

The Keto Diet starts with raising your consumption of healthy fat, instead of junk food fat. Next comes greatly decreasing your carbohydrate consumption. When your body starts looking for energy to burn, it will go for the fat, instead of the carbs. Other things to remember include avoiding processed foods, mindful eating, staying hydrated, intermittent fasting and taking care of your whole body (stress management and physical activity).

The Keto Diet has many health benefits, including stable energy levels, appetite control, improved skin health, weight loss and reduced inflammation (which can lead to major physical problems).

The book includes many recipes, for all meals in the day, along with meal prep and meal planning tips. Try just one recipe (start with dessert), then try another. Even if you can only move some of the way toward eating healthier, this book will be very much worth the money.
