Amish Survival Bible

Amish Survival Bible, Anna Hostetler, 2025

This book gives a comprehensive introduction to Amish self-sufficiency. They are people who have lived without modern technology for centuries.

The book explores many different aspects of the Amish way of life, including food preservation, herbal remedies, home security, water sourcing, woodworking, raising children, community and cooking without refrigeration.

No one is expected to adopt all parts of this book all at once. Start with something small, like a couple of pots of vegetables, or herbs or medicinal plants on your deck, or on your windowsill. Then, you can move on from there.

Any movement toward a more self-sufficient lifestyle is a very good thing. This book is an excellent introduction. It is very much worth the money.
