Super Easy Good Energy Cookbook for Beginners, Astrid Rasmussen, 2024
You want to start eating healthy, and maybe lose a few pounds, but you are intimidated by the seemingly infinite number of Diets that are out there. This book may be able to help.
This book does not advocate counting carbs or calories (or counting anything). It does advocate eating fresh fruits and vegetables. They contain the vitamins and minerals that your body needs to be at its best. If you can, buy organic (they have the least amount of processing and pesticides). Drinking lots of water is always a good idea; so is getting some exercise.
On the other hand, stay away from refined sugar and processed food (the typical America diet). Any nutrition the food may have had has been replaced by fat, carbs and calories. It may be momentarily satisfying, but your body will not like it. Caffeine, in soda and coffee, should also be reduced. There are many recipes in this book to help you on your way.
If the information in this book can be reduced to a couple of
sentences, they might be: "Greatly increase your consumption of fresh
fruits and vegetables (organic if possible). Drink lots of water, and get some
exercise. Greatly decrease (or eliminate) your consumption of sugar, caffeine
and processed food." Everyone wants better health, and a few less pounds
to carry around. This book is an excellent place to start that journey.
